No summer season in 2026!
On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Blatten in the Lötschental valley was practically completely buried by a landslide and glacier collapse. Around 300 people lost their homes, their homeland and many memories. It is an incomprehensible and catastrophic event. We at the Anenhütte are in contact with the municipality and are trying to help wherever possible.
Access to the Fafleralp will not be possible for tourists for a longer period of time and therefore the starting point to the Anenhütte is not accessible. For this reason, force majeure has made it impossible to carry out the next summer seasons until further notice.
We have high hopes that we will be able to be there for you again in the 2028 season at the latest.
